Why buy custom-made orthotics?

Custom-made orthotics are:

  • designed to meet the client’s unique and specific needs
  • made from a 3-dimensional model of a
    client’s foot
  • fabricated from durable raw materials lasting normally for several years
  • very useful for active people and have a high rate of success in helping clients manage foot, lower leg, and back problems.

Over the counter orthotics are generic and provide relief for less serious foot conditions.

What does an orthotic look like?

It depends on what condition it is designed to treat and the type of shoe it will be worn in. Custom orthotics may be full length or a short device that ends behind the metatarsal heads of the foot referred to as a ¾ length orthotic.

Tony and Linda Caruana work with their clients to determine the type of custom orthotic most appropriate for them. Lifestyle, athletic activities, foot type, and the type of problems they are experiencing affects the style of the custom orthotic required.

Who needs a foot orthotic?

Orthotics help a wide range of people. Whether they are experiencing mild discomfort in the ball of the foot from such conditions as metatarsalgia, or more severe problems including diabetic foot ulcers, a foot orthotic can provide positive results.
